Making cheese at home is relatively easy, but in order to make anything firmer than your standard cream cheese, a cheese mold is needed. The cheese curd is poured in the mold and left to age. The small holes in the mold allow the excess liquid to drain out. The bottom of the mold has a carving, which will be pressed into the surface of the cheese.
